Well the book took a major leap forward as I quit tinkering with it and sent it to Amazon. It will be reviewed, I have some friends doing a beta read for me and then I will be ready to publish and submit to Kindle
The formatting issues that I normally struggle with vanished when I used the same document file that I submitted my book on and with just a few mods it flew right thru the process!
I also started the process to reissue Worlds at War and Capitulation, Worlds at War needed a dedication and my bio and Capitulation needed a rewrite as it was chronological and did not get the reader involved with humans until the 5th Chapter, fixed that, it was an easy fix also tagged it with my bio and web address.
The WorldCon was pretty interesting I should have gone to more symposiums and attended the Hugo Awards. I didn’t go the Hugo’s because I had no idea who was up for what! Part of the drawback of writing is that you don’t get to read a whole bunch. But you do get to research and that I why I have decided to get my Doctorate. I do so much research for books that one day I said, “What the hell, I am doing so much research I should get my Doctorate!” Now I just need to get off my ass and do it.
WorldCon also showed me something very valuable. I met a guy that had written a book, just one, it had bad cover art like a child had drawn it and he was setting there trying to sell these things. THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ME! That was my original plan in going to WorldCon, a humbling lesson for me.
Looking for a release date of 15 Oct for Pilgrim’s Trail
Also thinking of submitting a short story to Analog and Asimov, luck to me!
